Here is what you need to provide the Court when the decedent died with a Will:

  1. Original Death Certificate of Hudson County Resident
  2. Original Last Will and Testament and/or Codicils
  3. Information Sheet
  4. Photocopy of Executor’s ID
  5. Filing Fee (TBD)

Here is what you need to provide the Court when the decedent died without a Will:

  1. Original Death Certificate of Hudson County Resident
  2. Affidavit of Assets
  3. Information Sheet
  4. Photocopy of Applicant's ID
  5. Next of Kin Renunication/Consent (if applicable)
  6. Filing Fee (TBD)

 

Here is what you need to provide the Court when Guardianship of a Minor is required for Person/Property:

  1. Minor’s Original Birth Certificate
  2. Minor’s Original Social Security Card
  3. Information on where the funds for the minor are coming from / Order for Judgment Directing Deposit of Funds
  4. Information Sheet
  5. Photocopy of Guardian’s ID
  6. Filing Fee (TBD)
